Sting

Sting. (Gordon Matthew Summer, Wallsend, 1951) Cantante y compositor británico. En 1973 creó su primera banda (Last Exit), y entre 1979 y 1983 formó parte del grupo The Police, para el cual escribió algunos de sus mayores éxitos (Roxanne, Message in a bottle, Every breath you take). Tras la disolución del grupo, ha grabado The dream of the blue turtles (1985), Bring on the night (1986), Nothing like the sun (1987), The soul cages (1991), Ten summer's tales (1993), When we dance (1994) y Mercury falling (1996). Ha participado en campañas humanitarias y ecologistas y ha intervenido en diversas películas (Quadrophenia, F. Roddan, 1978; Dune, D. Lynch, 1984; Lunes tormentoso, M. Figgis, 1987).
